NYC Pickle Night

November 5, 2021

We commemorated the 216th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar, and the historic journey of the Schooner Pickle, which delivered the news of victory and of the death of Lord Admiral Nelson.

Join us as we “cross the Atlantic” on a virtual visit to Portsmouth. There we’ll take a wide-angle view of the extraordinary museum, and get a close, curated look at some of its treasures, including those in the Nelson Gallery.

Thanks to American donors, the Museum has been able to preserve, expand and conduct research on artefacts from Nelson’s life and times. Additionally, the National Museum of the Royal Navy houses a sweeping collection from WWII.

We’ll be joined by guest speakers and hear from the Director General of the Museum.

Tickets are no longer available. Donors to AFNMRN and previous ticket-holders are welcome to view our media collection, including recordings of previous virtual events. To be come a donor, please do so here or use the form below.

To make an offline donation, please make checks out to American Friends of the National Museum of the Royal Navy and note Pickle Night in the memo. Mail to our headquarters at 25 West 45th Street, Suite 701, New York NY 10036.
